Do you ship outside of the UK?
We are a super small company and only sell directly. We only supply our bespoke long boots, made-to-order short boots and accessories directly within the UK, USA and Canada and countries within Europe with the exception of Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Netherlands, UAE, New Zealand and Australia where you will find an agent/reseller.
Please note: all other items in our online store are shipped globally.
How long do your boots take to make?
We are currently looking at 10 - 14 weeks on average. However, many jumping boots (with rear zips) are much quicker and this is mainly down to the fact they are easier to make with less pieces in the puzzle. Many boots are arriving around the 10-week mark but we would rather over estimate than under estimate. That said, even the Diogo can take up to 14 weeks depending on the intricacies of the customisation required.
Almost every boot is different to the one made before so sadly we cannot speed up this process. We are known for our perfect fit and this is in part down to the time and care taken to create your #beautifulboots!
What if I need my boots by a particular date, do you offer an express service?
We do offer an express service for an additional £125. The estimate is up to 6 weeks, excluding shipping or collection within the UK, however, there may well be factors that affect your order and this won’t be available to you. Please ask about the express service during your fitting or when you contact the studio. The express service is limited to one client per month.
Why do they take so long?
We truly do not want to change the traditional way that our craftsmen create our boots and, therefore, what we receive in #beautifulboots we pay for in time. We do feel that we are unique and that we are a truly bespoke company. To change the way we do things would invariably lose the uniqueness that we offer and we do not want to become another production line.
Are they worth the wait?
In almost all cases the boots arrive with a perfect fit, first time, so yes! We would rather our boots are perfect than arrive much sooner but don’t fit.
What if they don’t fit?
Whilst incredibly rare, our boots are made by hand so it’s possible to make a mistake. However, any such mistake would be considered very small and mainly down to the number of measurements we take. Any issue would be resolved very quickly and very easily. No problem is too big to resolve
I ordered at the same time as my friend but hers arrived first?
Many factors affect the lead time and will be down to a combination of the boot model, the leather required and the customisation and detailing requested. For these reasons boots are not made in strict chronological order and it would be impossible to do so. However, all boots are made using the same exacting standards and skill and no corners will be cut in the production of your boots.
What is the estimated due date?
The date we provide on order, is an estimate and as such not guaranteed. We will do our very best to deliver your boots within this time but if this date is exceeded it will be purely down to the requirements of the order and the subsequent time required to create your #beautifulboots
Will I get compensation for late delivery?
We will not offer any compensation for late delivery, we simply cannot guarantee a date and are transparent about this from the start.
We realise that our quoted lead times are long, so please do consider this if looking to purchase our boots. Further information is given during your consultation and on all paperwork that we send out giving you the chance to change your mind if the estimated time isn’t acceptable.
What if I don’t want them after the wait?
You are buying a bespoke product and we do not issue refunds under any circumstances. In the very worst scenario the boots would be remade. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions of Sale, which have been prepared by our legal team in full accordance with the law.
Where is your leather sourced?
Our 100% natural leather is sourced only in Portugal and Italy. Our hides are dyed with natural pigments and no chemicals are used during this process to maintain as natural a finish as possible and creating beautiful leathers that will last for many, many years. Longevity will depend on many things, including how the leather is cared for.
Do you have the option for eco leather?
Due to the limited options available, the lack of testing and the additional costs associated with such leather, we do not offer this at this time and are unlikely to do so in the near future.
Do you stock ready-to-wear long boots?
Our long boots are made-to-order and fully made-to-measure and therefore we do not keep any stock.
Do you have any second hand or sample boots available to purchase?
From time to time we might have the odd pair of boots to buy and you will find these in the online store.
What is the cost of a long pair of bespoke boots?
All prices can be found on the page for each model but we have two starting price points, regular models (soft panels) and dressage models (reinforced outer panel). Both regular and dressage models are identical to look at, with the exception of the Polo, which has a different design on the foot in the dressage model.

Do you take a deposit?
Deposits are £250 and payable prior to the order being processed. Nothing further is due until the boots are collected from the studio or ready for shipping!
Do you offer payment schemes?
We don't offer any payment schemes as such but you are welcome to make additional payments at any time.
What does the customisation cost?
Style pack: £60 and allows unlimited customisation; the addition of diamante, stripes and cut out tops. This also allows you to mix and match models but not to add something that we don’t already have available.
Does changing the colour of straps and panels cost more?
These is no additional cost to the base price if you mix and match colours on the straps or the different panels of the boots.
How many colours are there to choose from?
We have around 95 different leather samples and limited edition leathers. All leather samples can be seen in the studio. Due to the fact that each and every boot is handmade for each client, it is impossible to have samples of every boot available but the Gallery and Instragram are great sources of inspiration!
Will the colour be identical to the colour swatch or photo’s online?
We advise all clients that the leather will be the same shade and depth but we cannot guarantee an identical match. Our boots are handmade with care but leather colours will vary from any sample and will show grains and imperfections in most cases, which simply adds to the uniqueness and authenticity.
What if I want a special colour?
We can source any colour leather or get as close a match as possible! Ask about our design service – extra charges will apply.
How do I order?
We are the official page for Celeris UK, USA and Canada. You can book at fitting at our beautiful studio in Cobham, Surrey – just 5 mins off either junction 9 or 10 on the M25 or provide your own measurements.

How do I order if I can't get to the studio or live abroad?
You can send us your measurements by using our Measuring Guide and online Order Form, which you will find in the website menu. Please find more information on this further down this page.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday - 10am until 5pm.
Wednesday - closed.
We are also open one Sunday per month and can offer an evening appointment if required, please email the studio for availability.
What happens at a fitting and does it really take 45 mins?
We have all of the models and leather samples to view and yes, most clients really don’t want to leave and struggle to ask all of their questions during this time! Whilst many clients have an idea of what they want to buy in advance, they are often not so sure after a few minutes in the studio! There is so much choice, and so many options, and this is more obvious in the studio than by viewing the range online. 100% of clients say, the boots are even better in the flesh, which makes the choice even harder!
During the consultation we are able to assess your requirements and narrow the choice down. We go through a comprehensive checklist identify the perfect boot for you!
How do I book a fitting?

Will you send information, prior to my fitting?
We will send you an email, usually a few days before your fitting, explaining what to expect, what to wear and how to find us. Please ensure your email is correct when booking in online.
What do I wear to a fitting?The breeches you usually wear - it’s not necessary to wear anything thicker, unless you regularly switch between different weights of fabric but we would always prefer the thinner unless you wear thicker far more often.
If you are wearing winter weight breeches it’s worth bearing in mind that they are substantially thicker so, unless your boots are for winter, it would be worth at least bringing along a summer pair.
If you want your boots for fashion please wear leggings or skinny jeans.
Do you deliver outside of the UK?
Yes, we supply directly to the US and Canada, along with any country without an agent or reseller. Check your local taxes and duties before ordering as these will be payable locally and are your responsibilty.
Do you supply to Europe?
We do not supply to Germany, France, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Spain, Benelux, Australia or New Zealand. Please google Celeris in these countries to find the contact.
How do I order if I can’t attend a fitting in person?
You can follow our comprehensive guide and use our online form to submit your measurements. Our guide is easy to follow and many, many clients purchase this way and all have perfect boots.
Once we receive your measurements, we will scrutinise them before sending you a checklist and any requests for further information or additional measurements. We are as fussy about our online orders, as those received in the studio, and we can spot any potential issues easily given the number of measurements and cross-checking measurements we require.
How do I send my order?
Complete the online order form. Your form will then be send to us for review and we will send you a checklist and possibly ask for confirmation of certain measurements. With our extensive experience, we can usually spot any areas that we need to check. Once we are satisfied with the measurements we will issue and invoice and start the ordering process.
Is it easy to measure yourself?
It really is! Yes, it’s time consuming but anyone can hold and read a tape measure. The difficulty is in where to measure and that’s where the comprehensive, step-by-step guide comes in. We can also assist by phone or skype too but we rarely have to.
What if I get it wrong?
In the unlikely event that you do, most issues can be resolved easily and we will do everything possible to resolve locally. In the worst-case scenario the boots will go back to the workshop for a minor adjustment – a bit like a wedding dress!
What are the shipping costs within the UK?
One pair of long boots costs £20 with Parcelforce 24, fully insured.
What are the shipping costs to the US and Canada?
One pair of long boots costs £65 and shipping is 3-5 working days. Boots are both tracked and insured. Check your local taxes and duties before ordering as these will be payable locally and are your responsibilty.
How do I order?
Short boots, deck shoes and chaps can be made to order in any colour or colour combinations. Simple email us with measurements 1-4 from our measuring guides for short boots and deck shoes and complete the order form. We will need you to complete a full set of measurements for chaps.
How long do they take to make?
On average 6-8 weeks but this will really depend on the level of customisation required.
Are the short boots and deck shoes made to measure?
No, they are regular shoe sizes but are available in half sizes and in a wide fitting.
What do made to order short boots/deck shoes cost?

Are all the leathers available for short boots and chaps?
Matt leathers are recommended but gloss and textured leathers can be added as a contrast.
Can you make deck shoes in gloss leathers?
We limit these to matt leathers in our range.
Do you have any in stock?
We do keep stock of some shorts boots and deck shoes and you will find these in the online store. Costs will vary.
My new boots are so tight – do they fit?
Yes, is the answer in most cases! Clients are generally not quite prepared for how tight the boots are. If you do not return to the studio to collect your new boots make sure you are wearing the breeches you were measured in and try without long socks.
You will normally need someone else to zip you up the first time as you must be standing and looking forward for all rear zip boots as sitting or twisting does change your shape and makes the first fitting tricky.
For all front zip models, step into the boots and then lift your leg to 90 degrees and zip up in this positon which takes the pressure off the calf.
I’m in! How long will they take long to ‘break in’?
Most clients will say their boots are beautiful and comfortable from day one. However, the leather does vary from boot to boot and some boots will take longer as the leather may be marginally thicker. The length of time will also depend on how often you wear your boots. The only real way of breaking your boots in is to ride in them! Walking about the house or yard won’t really mimic your riding position so will take much longer.
Passage, Polo and Bia boots take longer to ‘break in’ mainly due to the fact they are a substantial boot and have panels. Having said this, clients with these boots do report that on average, after 2-3 weeks they feel perfect.
I’m in, but I think there is an issue?
In the exceptionally rare case that the workshop (or ourselves) has made a mistake, we will rectify the issue or replace the boots at our cost. Please notify us immediately, so we can organise this right away, to avoid any unnecessary delay.
Where a client gains/loses significant weight between the measuring date and the new boot fitting, Celeris UK will not accept any liability for ill-fitting boots. In such instances the responsibility lies solely with the client. However, we offer a superior fitting service and insignificant differences in measurements (between fitting and delivery) will make no difference to the fit of your boots.
Will my boots drop?
All boots will drop, on average, by 1-2cm caused by the bend in your ankle. Please note that the dressage models (with reinforced outer panel) are unlikely to drop, due mainly to the fact your ankle doesn’t really bend too much.
What if my boots are too high?
We take considerable time to ensure the right height during the fitting process. We do not ‘add’ additional cm to allow for the drop, as this can prove to be very uncomfortable for our clients. Measured correctly your boots should be perfect and remain perfect after they have dropped 1-2 cm. If you have requested the boots to be higher than we would recommend, we will ask you to sign the order form to confirm this. In this instance we would suggest heel risers to help if they are too high when they arrive. Whilst we are happy to make your boots to your exact requirements, including the height, Celeris UK won’t take any responsibility for the height measurement where you have requested a height higher than our recommendation.
How long will my boots last?
It is impossible to try to estimate this as all riders use and care for their boots very differently. Professionals will ride a large number of horses a day, whereas a hobby rider may only ride at the weekends so obviously there will be a huge difference in the life of boots purchased at the same time. It is our advice to look after your boots, as recommended, to maximize their life.
How long are my boots under warranty?
Celeris boots are guaranteed for the first 90-days, where there is a genuine fault with the materials or manufacture. It is exceptionally rare for Celeris boots to develop any faults but if indeed the boots are deemed faulty, by the workshop, Celeris will rectify the problem or replace the boots.
Due to the extremes and variations in the usage of riding boots, no warranty is offered against wear and tear, negligence or poor maintenance resulting in any fault.
ZIPS: Do not use any ‘tools’ to pull the zips up. If you damage your zips by using ‘tools’ or have trodden on the zips and damaged the teeth, they will not be covered under the warranty.
Do you offer an extended warranty?
Due to the fact that it is exceptionally rare for any boot to develop a fault, we will look at any genuine issue, with the exception of zips, during the first year.
Due to the extremes and variations in the usage of riding boots, no warranty is offered against wear and tear, negligence or poor maintenance resulting in any fault.
Do you have issues with zips?
Generally, we do not have issues with our zips due mainly to the superior fit - each boot is made to fit each leg and, in particular, the calf area.
It is very common for the calf to vary significantly on a rider. This variation can be as much as 2cm and is usually because a rider favours one side of their body more or has had an accident at some point in the past. This is very normal and hence the reason it is important that the boots are made to take this variation into account, to avoid stress on the zips.
It is worth pointing out that a genuinely faulty zip will be obvious from almost the first fitting or most certainly within a week or two of use. It is so rare for a zip to go after the 30-day period and beyond this period would be wear and tear, hence why it is important to look after your zips.
How do I care for the zips?
During the first week, always ask someone else to do up the zips for you and try to be as careful as possible during this time whilst the boots are moulding to your legs. After the first week always ensure that the zip is entirely open before attempting to put your foot into your boot. Brush out sand and debris from your zips daily to avoid damage.
How do I look after my boots?
Wipe down daily with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime, especially on the area of the boot that makes contact with the horse and brush out sand and debris from the zips. Allow the boots to dry. Finish by conditioning with our luxury wax and buffing to a shine. As an additional treatment, to re-nourish and revive the leather, occasionally leave the wax on overnight (with the exception of light and mid tan leathers). Use sparingly, you really don’t need too much!
The colour doesn’t look exactly what I ordered?
All leather will vary very slightly in colour and texture. ‘Claro’ is a light natural tan and will vary more than most, showing natural grains and imperfections in the leather. However, over time and following our care guide, the boots will develop a beautiful natural patina.
Marks and grains in the leather
Whilst great care is made to ensure your boots reach you in pristine condition, they are entirely handmade by skilled artisans and will not always look ‘absolutely perfect’ due to the traditional way in which they are made and how they are handled during production. Minor marks and grains are often part of the character of the superior leather we use and can usually be polished out over time and will not affect the fit and wear of your boots.
Will the colour fade?
By following our care guide your boots should maintain their colour for many years, However, some colours will fade more but you should keep them waxed with coloured polish where possible to maintain the colour. We keep stock of our coloured luxury waxes in the online store.
What about polished, high gloss, nubuck or suede leather care?
We recommend that you use a patent spray for polished and high gloss finishes and a nubuck or suede cleaner followed by protector for nubuck and suede leathers. Please follow any manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
The wax looks too dark for my boots?
Our wax is like a creamy mousse in texture and is quite thin once applied. You will notice it’s far more transparent once it’s actually on your boots - but do use sparingly as advised above!
What happens if my boots get wet?
Our boots are exceptionally hard wearing and have been through rigorous testing. We have several clients in the UK, who have ended up in muddy ponds, who have simply put the boots in an airing cupboard overnight, then re-nourished with our luxury wax, to then report back that the boots were as good as new.
What if I don’t like my boots and want a refund?
In the highly unlikely event that you are not delighted with your boots, we cannot offer any form of refund or credit note. However, please do not hesitate to contact us in the first instance to discuss as most issues can be resolved easily.
As per our Terms and Conditions of Sale, Celeris boots are bespoke and handcrafted to order and therefore, your order is exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations and, as such, refunds cannot be given in respect of any made-to-measure boots for any reason. Our terms and conditions were prepared by our legal team and are fully compliant within the law.
Do you have an aftersales department for minor repairs in the future?
Whilst we do send boots back to the workshop for any repairs, within the warranty period, we do not find this is the most effective way for minor issues outside of the warranty period. Due to the high cost of shipping, insurance and the extended timescales, we recommend researching a local saddlery, who specialise in leather goods.
We highly recommend Calcutt and Sons, who offer a superior service by mail order with very reasonable prices.
What do I do if I have issues on delivery or within warranty period?
In the first instance give us a call or alternatively send us an email. Most issues can be resolved quickly and easily!
