How to Order Handmade Custom Riding Boots

Ordering handmade custom riding boots is easier than many riders imagine. Whether you visit us in our studio or order remotely from anywhere in the UK, USA or Canada, every pair follows the same carefully managed process to ensure exceptional craftsmanship, outstanding fit and a truly bespoke experience.

Step 1 – Design & Consultation

Begin by choosing the model that best suits your discipline, riding style and personal preferences.

From there, you'll explore our extensive collection of premium leathers, colours and customisation options to create a pair of boots that are uniquely yours.

You can visit us in our studio or book an online consultation from anywhere in the world. We'll guide you through the available models, discuss your requirements, answer your questions and help you design your perfect pair.

Step 2 – Measuring for the Perfect Fit

We take 12 precise measurements for each individual leg, capturing the exact shape, riding style and proportions of your leg and foot.

When measured by us, we can ensure a precise fit. If you supply your own measurements using our comprehensive guide, we scrutinise every detail and will never proceed to the workshop until we are confident they are accurate.

The result: boots designed to fit like a second skin.

Step 3 – Craftsmanship & Delivery

From Portugal to your door, your boots are expertly crafted by traditional master craftsmen using exceptional materials and time-honoured techniques.

Every pair is individually inspected, carefully packaged and shipped, arriving ready for you to wear, ride and enjoy.

Ordering Online

Many of our clients complete the entire process remotely, with no compromise in service or attention to detail.

We schedule as many Zoom consultations as necessary to ensure every aspect of your order is perfect. For most clients, this includes an initial Zoom consultation to discuss models, leathers, colours and customisation options, followed by a dedicated measurement appointment.

During your measuring appointment, we guide you through every stage of the process in real time. It is almost as if we are standing beside you, holding the tape measure ourselves. Every measurement is carefully checked, discussed and verified before your order is approved for production.

This personal approach allows riders throughout the UK, USA and Canada to enjoy the same bespoke experience and exceptional level of service as clients visiting our studio.

Our Fit Promise for Remote Orders

For our international clients, and UK clients who have not had the opportunity to visit our studio, we want your boots to fit perfectly just as much as you do.

Using our comprehensive measuring process and personal Zoom consultations, the vast majority of clients receive boots that fit beautifully first time. However, should you believe your boots do not fit correctly, we are committed to working with you to achieve the best possible outcome.

A Zoom consultation is a mandatory part of our Fit Promise and must be completed before any remake can be authorised. This allows us to carefully assess the fit of your boots, discuss any concerns and determine whether any issues relate to the fit itself or simply the normal breaking-in process expected with a new pair of handcrafted riding boots.

Please remember that a new pair of handcrafted riding boots will naturally feel firmer and stiffer than a well-worn pair. A close, supportive fit and the need for a short breaking-in period should not be mistaken for an incorrect fit. It is not uncommon for clients who have never owned bespoke riding boots before to mistake a precise fit for one that is too tight.

Where, following our assessment, we determine that a genuine fit adjustment is required rather than a normal breaking-in period, we will remake your boots to revised measurements.

To qualify for our Fit Promise, your boots must:

• Be unworn other than trying them on indoors.
  
• Be returned in immaculate, as-new condition.
  
• Be available for assessment via Zoom before any return is authorised.

Where a remake is approved, we will review and refine your measurements during a further Zoom consultation before producing a new pair to the updated specification. The client is responsible only for the shipping costs of returning the original boots to our studio and the shipping costs of the replacement pair.
